CALLING YOUR ELECTED OFFICIALS
|
When you are concerned about an issue or piece of legislation, a
phone call is most efficient. Write out on paper 2 or 3 sentences
that include your feelings, one or two facts, and how you want your
legislator or official to vote/act. Practice your appeal before dialing.

KEEPING TRACK OF LEGISLATION
|
To track votes of Rep. Camp, and Senators Levin and Stabenow,
sign up with www.congress.org and link to Megavote. They will also
tell you of upcoming votes. The Record-Eagle reports each Sunday
how each legislator voted. Another resource is www.senate.gov for
information on the US Senate, and www.house.gov for the US House
of Representatives. Legislation can move at a rapid pace, so please
check frequently on issues or laws that are of concern.
